Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is a life simulation game from Nintendo for Nintendo Switch. Players look after an island populated by Mii characters, who can be based on themselves, friends, family or anyone they invent, and then watch what happens as those residents go about their lives.

Miis have their own likes and dislikes, form friendships and rivalries, and become happier as their needs are met. Players can also decorate homes, reshape the island's landscape and shop for items. The release date was confirmed in a dedicated Nintendo Direct in January 2026, and the game launched on 16 April 2026. It is also playable on Nintendo Switch 2, though there is no separate Switch 2 Edition.
