28 Years Later

28 Years Later is the third film in the series that began with 28 Days Later, reuniting director Danny Boyle with writer Alex Garland. Nearly three decades after the rage virus outbreak, survivors live in isolated communities cut off from the British mainland. On a small island community, 12-year-old Spike (Alfie Williams) makes his first trip to the infected mainland with his father (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), the start of a journey that tests everything he has been taught. Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes co-star. Sony Pictures released the film in the UK and North America on 20 June 2025. It runs 115 minutes and is the first of a planned trilogy.
