Resident Evil

Resident Evil is a reinvention of the long-running horror franchise, written and directed by Zach Cregger with Shay Hatten as co-writer, and produced by Columbia Pictures and Constantin Film. Instead of continuing an existing storyline, it tells an all-new story about Bryan, a medical courier played by Austin Abrams, who is sent to deliver a package to a remote hospital and finds himself fighting through a night-long outbreak of mutated creatures to survive. Zach Cherry, Kali Reis and Paul Walter Hauser also star. The R-rated film runs one hour 34 minutes. It opened in its first markets on 16 September 2026 and in US cinemas on 18 September.
