Assassin's Creed Shadows

Assassin's Creed Shadows is an open-world action role-playing game from Ubisoft Quebec, set in feudal Japan during the late Sengoku period. It splits the story between two playable leads: Naoe, a shinobi suited to stealth and infiltration, and Yasuke, a samurai of African origin who favours direct, heavier combat. Players can switch between them as they explore a large recreation of central Japan, with seasons changing across the map.

The game released on 20 March 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a Mac version. A Nintendo Switch 2 edition followed on 2 December 2025, and Ubisoft lists an iPad version as coming.
