Balatro

Balatro is a roguelike deck-building game made by LocalThunk, a solo developer, and published by Playstack. It borrows the hands of poker: players form pairs, flushes and straights to hit escalating score targets, while collecting Joker cards and other modifiers that bend the rules and multiply points. Each run is a fresh attempt, with the combinations of cards and Jokers changing every time.

The game released on 20 February 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, and later came to mobile. A dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 edition appeared on 25 February 2026 as a free upgrade for Switch owners.
